Despicable Me 4 had its theatrical debut in New York City at the Jazz at Lincoln Center on June 9, 2024. The movie was distributed nationwide on July 3. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film achieved significant box office success and earned $765 million worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing movie of 2024.

Despicable Me 4

Despicable Me 4 is the best-animated movie.  Gru is the main character of Despicable Me 4 movie. He is an agent of the Anti-Villain League (AVL).  Gru is invited to a reunion ceremony.  Max is the villain of this movie and his girlfriend's name is Valentina. Maxime reveals is also invited to this ceremony and he gets the reward from his alma mater, Lycée Pas Bon. Then he enhanced his cockroach part and showed his power. He wants to conquer the world. Then Gru arrested him by AML. After, his wife Valentina escaped him from AVL jail.

Silas Ramsbottom comes to Gru's house and informs him Max has escaped from jail. For family security, AML decided to change Gru's home address & all information. So Gru changed his address to Mayflower. He also changes his name & job. Gru's new name is Chet and his new job is solar panel salesman. Also changed his family members’ names. His wife Lucky name is given to Blanche. She is a hairdresser.  Gru has four children's names changed also.  In the morning Gru goes to school, At that time, he sees their new neighbors and meets with them. 

The AVL takes in the majority of the Minions. Under a program dubbed the Mega Minions, Silas chooses five of them to have their powers enhanced; however, the initiative is canceled after the gang causes collateral damage in a metropolis.

Gru and his family get to know the Prescotts, their new wealthy neighbors, in their new residential community. Poppy, their teenage daughter and wannabe villain, knows Gru from his days as a villain. If Gru doesn't assist her in pulling off a robbery to take Lenny, the honey badger that represents Lycée Pas Bon, so she may enroll there, she threatens to disclose his cover. Together with Gru Jr. and two Minions, the two manage to successfully kidnap Lenny and make their getaway in a flying automobile. However, using a tracker in Lenny's collar, the aging principal of the school, Übelschlecht, recognizes Gru from the security camera video and gets in touch with Maxime to let him know where Gru is.

Gru and Lucy went to the country club with Poppy's parents, Perry and Patsy. Meanwhile, Poppy and Lenny left with their daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes. Übelschlecht came to Gru's house and gathered all the information before passing it on to Maxime. Übelschlecht then launched an attack on Gru and Lucy. Lucy quickly informed the Anti-Villain League (AVL), which sent Mega Minions to help them—Maxime and Valentina. They captured Übelschlecht and transported him onto their vessel. While Lucy and the girls stayed behind to deal with Übelschlecht, Gru decided to save his kids.

Poppy helps Gru board the ship using a flying car. When Valentina tries to stop them, she is knocked off the roof. Gru is dismayed to learn that Maxime has turned him into a roach hybrid and the spacecraft crashes into a building under construction. Maxime then uses Gru Jr. to fight off a man. After being knocked unconscious, Gru encourages his son, who then gets enraged and attacks Maxime. With the help of animals and insects that have followed them, the Mega Minions crush Maxime when he falls off the structure. The AVL and Silas apprehend Maxime and Valentina.

After being reunited with Lucy and the daughters, Gru gives Poppy her due gratitude before taking Lenny under her wing as a new pet. When Gru and his family get back home, Dr. Nefario undoes Gru Jr.'s metamorphosis. Gru pays Maxime a visit to an AVL jail to work out their disagreements. The two sing "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" for the inmates, many of whom were once Gru's enemies, in an attempt to demonstrate their reconciliation.
