Spenser Cohen, Anna Halberg, and Nicholas Adams co-wrote and directed the 2024 American supernatural horror thriller Tarot, which also marks the directors' feature film debuts. It is based on Nicholas Adams' 1992 book Horrorscope. Starring in the movie with her are Adain Bradley, Avantika, Humberly González, Larsen Thompson, Olwen Fouéré, Jacob Batalon, and Harriet Slater. The narrative centers on a group of college students who, after utilizing an odd Tarot card, start to brutally die one by one. They have to figure out the mystery behind the deck before time runs out.

Story of Tarot (2024)

Tarot (2024) is a horror movie. The tarot movie was created by some friends. A group of friends (Haley, Grant, Paxton, Paige, Madeline, Lucas, and Elise) rent a mansion to celebrate Elise's birthday. But they are tense because Haley and Grant are breaking up their relationship. In the night, Grant opens the fridge for a drink. But he finds a drink in the fridge. So all the friends find drinks in the mansion. At the time, they find a room in the mansion. in the room, they find a horoscope box. Haley opened the horoscope box and found some tarots. 

A tarot is a playing card that is used for destiny.  So Haley and all their friends watch the tarot. At that time, a stormy wind blew in the mansion. they are afraid of the wind. Heley closed the box and said, the box was not good for us. But Elise wants to watch her destiny.

She said I want to know my destiny. Haley opens the box because Elise is a birthday girl. Elise receives The High Priestess and the prediction that she would "climb the ladder of success"; Lucas receives The Hermit; Paige and Paxton receive The Magician and The Fool, respectively; Madeline receives The Hanged Man. The two quarrel as Haley admits that Grant is ruining their relationship since he acquired The Devil. Haley finally pulls out the Death card as she looks at her own horoscope.

The party heads back to university the next day. A monster form of The High Priestess attacks Elise and uses the attic ladder to bash her to death. The Hermit attacks Lucas in a train station, and a fast-moving train ends his life. Since the tarot readings for each deathmatch, the gang believes there is a problem with the deck.

They go to Alma Astron, a tarot and occult specialist they discovered online. She recognizes the cards as belonging to an astrologer who provided future predictions for a Hungarian count in the late 1700s. The devastated Count gave his troops the order to murder the Astrologer's daughter after receiving a reading that predicted both his pregnant wife and child would perish in delivery. Enraged by her bereavement, the astrologer used her cards to consign the Count and his friends to death. She then murdered herself and cursed her deck, making everyone who used it dead. Numerous tragedies involving tarot reading groups have been attributed to the cards. Alma, who is still at the estate, begs them to demolish the deck.

As they are traveling there, their vehicle breaks down, and The Hanged Man attacks them, killing Madeline. Paxton returns to school after being terrified and leaves the others, only to find The Fool stalking him. Upon their return to the mansion, Haley, Grant, and Paige are unsuccessful in burning the cards and ask Alma for assistance. Alma calls for the astrologer's ghost, but before the astrologer can do a reading on her, the Six of Swords kills her.

The Magician saws Paige in half. Haley concludes that this may cease if she looks at the astrologer's horoscope. Haley gives the astrologer a death reading while Grant is being carried away by The Devil. She is in pain and realizes that all of her cards are in the wrong hand. She eventually finds closure for her mother's illness-related death, and the astrologer's soul is incinerated next to the deck. Haley and Grant make up over their survival and get back together with Paxton, who lived when his roommate momentarily unlocked the elevator door, causing The Fool to vanish.
